Restaurant Vila Rova is a slow food restaurant – open to all external and hotel guests for dinner and breakfast.
Named ‘Young Talent of the Year’ by Gault&Millau Croatia and Best Chef of Kvarner by the Kvarner Tourist Board in 2024, chef Marin Pleše prepares authentic, creative and contemporary island cuisine.
Growing up on the island of Krk, near the restaurant, chef Marin Pleše developed a strong connection to local culinary traditions and deep respect for fresh, seasonal ingredients. Straightforward yet refined, each of his plates tells a story of Krk – its heritage, its produce, and his personal journey.
For dinner, Vila Rova offers a complete gastronomic experience with a 7-course tasting menu “The Bridge” and a shorter 4-course menu “The Island”. Menus evolve seasonally and include signature dishes such as the warm acorn flour brioche bun and homemade “šurlice” pasta.
Combining local herbs with lesser-used ingredients such as lamb, langoustines, octopus and sheep cheese, the kitchen team captures the aromas and essence of life by the Adriatic. Guests are invited to enjoy wine pairing with either local or international labels, expertly curated by sommelier Petar Krnčević.
The restaurant is a proud member of the JRE Croatia association, and has been awarded 14.5 points by the Gault&Millau Croatia 2025 guide and 86 points by the Falstaff Guide 2024.
